Biography

Career
P. JOMBAR served his apprenticeship with Nestor D. AUDINOT with whom he worked from 1882 to 1886.
He then joined
GAND & BERNARDEL Frères in Paris.
In 1892 he set up his own workshop at 20, rue Rochechouart in Paris.
He later moved to Rue du Faubourg Poissonière and, finally, to 37, rue de Rome.


Works
JOMBAR's production was made after the great Classical masters, mainly Antonio Stradivari. His instruments are generally coated with a rich red-brown varnish.
