Career
Paul MANGENOT served his apprenticeship with Paul BAILLY before working for the main violin workshops of his time in Lille, Paris, Lyon and Geneva, among them Joseph HEL, COLLIN MEZIN Père (the father).
He finally came back to Mirecourt to join Justin DERAZEY whom he succeeded in 1890.
Included in the deal was the use of Justin DERAZEY's name as well as Honoré DERAZEY and Didier NICOLAS aîné.
Soon thereafter in that same year, a catalogue including the recently acquired brands was published.

Workshop

Collaborators
Two among his sons, René and Albert, collaborated with their father until world war one, were they both died in 1914.

Successors
The name was continued by Marc LABERTE's workshops, which used it as a trade mark for a part of his production.
