Career
Just Amédée DERAZEY was the son of Jean Joseph Honoré DERAZEY, the well-known violin maker. He learned his craft with his father.

Workshop
After the HENLEY's Dictionnary he settled his own workshop in Mirecourt in 1850.
In 1864 Just Amédée DERAZEY bought the succession of Jos. NICOLAS (Fils) from his widow.

Instruments produced from that date on bear the stamp of “J Nicolas fils” beside his own label.
J.A. Derazey succeeded his father in 1879.

Works
Just Amédée DERAZEY’s instruments are of a fine quality, if not of the same high quality of his father’s. Aside from his own production, one can find instruments made by his workshop.
