Birth : 1855 in Mirecourt (Vosges) Death : 1920

Nicolas Auguste Eugène MALINE is the son and pupil of Nicolas MALINE, the widely-known bow maker.
After his apprenticeship Nicolas A. E. MALINE became his father's collaborator, succeeding him in 1877.
In 1906 he began working for CUNIOT-HURY before moving to Choisy le Roi, near Paris, where he maintained a small production of bows.

Nicolas A. E. MALINE 's first period of production is close to his father's last period, with the exception of the ferrule which adhere to a classical model (without the extra length as exhibited in the father's model).
Nicolas A.E. MALINE's production then evolved to become more similar to C.N. BAZIN's style.
