Biography

Career
Marcel Robin was active in Bordeaux during the first quarter of the XX° century, his workshop located Place Gambetta.
Double-bassist and Luthier,  we know very few about where and with whom he learnt violin making.

Works
Beside instruments made in Mirecourt and bearing his workshop label one can find some exceptional violins made after Italian Masters and more especially after Domenico Montagna's model c. 1930-1940.
These instruments, made with the finest quality of wood, are coated with an oil varnish varying from a pink-orange to a deep red-brown colour.
