Birth : 1870 in Mirecourt (Vosges) Death : 1929 in Alfortville (Val-de-Marne)

Known as "Husson Mariet"

Born in 1870 to Pierre HUSSON, known has "HUSSON DUFOUR" and Francine Dufour, Auguste HUSSON did his apprenticeship under his father before becoming established as his collaborator.
During this period he went on to work for various Parisian violin makers.

According to Rene Vannes, he then went to work in England.
As Vannes made mistakes in his writing on HUSSON, it is hard to know if anything he says is correct about HUSSON during this time period.

Between 1910 - 1920, Auguste HUSSON moved to Lyon, and then around 1925  settled in the Parisian suburb of Alfortville, where he established his final workshop at 71 quai Blanqui.

Auguste HUSSON produced bows of good quality throughout his career, with few of his bows carrying his own name stamp.

During his Lyon's period his production is signed "HUSSON-MARIET"
Mariet being the name of his wife.
