Biography

Career
He started his apprenticeship in 1862 with Charles Claude Nicolas HUSSON. 
In 1868, he joined GAUTROT's workshop in Château Thierry, where he met François Nicolas VOIRIN
In 1876, he came to Paris to work with François Nicolas VOIRIN whose he became assistant. 
In 1885, at the death of F.N. VOIRIN, he settled his own workshop, 34 rue du Faubourg Poissonière.

Works
His style is first influenced by the work of François Nicolas VOIRIN but contrarily to this master, his head and frogs had grown in volume all along his life.
