Biografía

Certainly grandson of Michel PACHERELE, a MIRECOURT violin maker, Pierre PACHEREL (or PACHERELE) is considered to be a bench-mate and follower of Jean-Baptiste VUILLAUME, even if the place where he learnt his craft still remains uncertain.

He worked during a time in Paris and established his workshop in Nice c 1830. He moved during the following years to Genoa and went several time to Torino, probably between 1840 and 1848. He has generally been considered as a Pressenda's pupil but it's difficult to get a firm opinion about this point as one can hardly find in the Pressenda's production any device of the PACHERELE's style.
