Career
Little information is available about this maker.
After the Voirin Family tree on display in the book l'Archet (page 381, volume II) we learn that François Nicolas Auguste VOIRIN is, by his father, cousin of the famous bow maker, almost his homonym, François Nicolas VOIRIN.
The violin displayed on #2761 is the only instrument we know bearing the signature of this maker.

After this example one can see that his work is typical of the MIRECOURT production of his period, and more particularly with instruments produced by Grandjon / Derazey workshops.
