Summary

ABOUT THE « CLAUDOT & Neveu » LABELS
Initially, it was Pierre CLAUDOT who was supposed to come to Dijon to enter into partnership with François CLAUDOT.

Pierre began his apprenticeship at JTL in 1920.
He completed it in 1924, when he joined DIEUDONNÉ instead of leaving for Dijon.

It was in 1924 that François learned that Pierre would not be joining him.
He then had to find another “collaborator / successor”, and this would be Albert, Pierre’s brother and also his nephew, which explains why the labels read: CLAUDOT & NEVEU.
