Career
A violinist at first, WAGNER was established violin maker by 1914 with a workshop located at 52 Rue de Rome in Paris. He later moved to 16 rue de la Tour d'Auvergne.

Works
WAGNER's work is made after personal models inspired by the great classic masters. During his career he spent significant time researching the varnish formulas of the Cremonese makers of the golden age hoping to discover their secrets. WAGNER's instruments are coated with rich and attractive varnishes, though they are not close enough in composition to be mistaken for their illustrious predecessors.

Collaborators
William Henley, in his well-known Dictionary, notes that from 1925 onward WAGNER started a collaboration with DELPRATO, starting to sign his violins "Wagner et Delprato" from that date.

Awards & medals
WAGNER won a silver medal at the 1910 Brussels International Exhibition.
