Biography

Career
Nicolas BRUNEL developed a passion for music at an early age, and in particular for the violin, an instrument he has been playing since the age of 5.
He entered the École Nationale de Lutherie de MIRECOURT in 2003, after training as a seat joiner at the École Boulle in Paris.
In 2006, he obtained his Diplôme des Métiers d'Arts de luthier. In July 2006, he joined Bernard SABATIER's workshop in Paris, where he devotes himself to repair and set up.

In June 2008, Nicolas left SABATIER to focuse on the making of new instruments, before becoming Friedrich ALBER's assistant in Montpellier in 2009.
In this dynamic workshop, where he worked for 8 years, he built some fifty instruments, and adjusted and repaired instruments for the musicians of the Montpellier orchestra.

With a wealth of experience acquired in the various fields of violin making, Nicolas moved to Montpellier in 2018, and devotes his daily life to the making of new instruments and high restoration of the quartet's instruments.
