Career
Émile GERMAIN was the son and pupil of Joseph GERMAIN, a collaborator of Charles-François GAND, Jean-Baptiste VUILLAUME, and Charles-Adolphe GAND.
He succeeded his father in 1870.
After a period of association with M. DEHOMMAIS, described by René VANNES in his Dictionnary, as an "amateur", Emile GERMAIN moved his workshop to 62 rue Bourdaloue in 1882 where he worked alone until his death in 1933.
